Latest Fantasy Rumors
Predators likely out of trade talks
Garland is less likely to be acquired by Nashville from Vancouver following Luke Schenn's lower-body injury, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
ANALYSIS
The Canucks have granted Garland permission to talk to other teams about a potential trade and Nashville was seen as a potential destination. The issue is Vancouver likely wanted to acquire defenseman Dante Fabbro in the trade. However, with Schenn set to miss four-to-six weeks because of his lower-body injury, the Predators are no longer in a good position to move a blueliner. Garland has a goal in four games this season.

2019
Garland completed his first season in Vancouver after spending his first three years in the NHL with the Coyotes. His 52 points in 77 games marked a career-high, but Garland failed to top the 20-goal mark, finishing with 19 tallies. A major part of Garland's so-so campaign was the result of his mediocre usage. He averaged just 16:24 of ice time per game, down more than a minute and a half from the year prior. But the big issue came with the man advantage, where Garland saw just 1:36 per game and finished with just three power-play points. Perhaps Garland could have snagged a spot on Vancouver's No. 1 PP unit if J.T. Miller was traded, but that never came to fruition, so Garland is looking at a similar role in 2022-23, which limits his fantasy value to deep leagues only.
